Backgammon: A great classic game that relies on luck and strategy.
This free online backgammon game allows you to play against an opponent (the computer or two friends) and acquire logic and strategic thinking skills, for both beginners and experts.
The objective of backgammon is to remove all your pieces from the board before your opponent.
It is played on a board of 24 long triangles called "points," divided into four quadrants.
Each player has 15 pieces (15 white and 15 red). Players take turns moving their pieces according to the number of points rolled on the dice, until all the pieces have been moved to their home board.
You can divide your move by the value of each die for two pieces, or move a piece by the sum of your roll.
Pieces cannot occupy the same corner as two or more of your opponent's pieces, meaning you can only place your piece on an unoccupied point, unless your opponent only has one piece on that point, in which case you have "hit" your opponent by moving their piece to the center of the board.
Once all your pieces are gathered on your last six points, you can begin removing them from the board. The first to remove them from the board wins the game!
